Welcome to Trinity CE Primary School
At a time when many of our parents and carers will be concerned about the challenges Henley, in general, is facing around the admission of its children to their local school and, in particular, to the possibility that Trinity may move in the future to two-form entry, it is an opportune time to remind ourselves of some of the things that make us, with the help of many of you, a great school.
Firstly, our sporting prowess was superbly maintained with the retention of the Winter Series Cross Country Cup, our older children progressing to the next round of Oxfordshire Schools Indoor Athletics Championship and the 'red house' won our inter-school House Teams Swimming Gala.
Secondly, the children made a wonderful job of promoting our caring, Christian ethos by raising large sums of money for a range of good causes.
Thirdly you, as supportive parents, also raised an amazing amount of money for the school at the Quiz Night.
Fourthly, the staff and the many parents and helpers who came in to support our recent history themed event provided a rich, engaging and stimulating experience that was enthusiastically received and enjoyed by the children. I’m sure you will testify to the hard work, serious learning and sheer enjoyment shown by the children during this event.
Last, but by no means least, the delicious food tasting event provided by our school kitchen staff amply demonstrates, not just our commitment to healthy eating and the provision of nutritious food but our willingness to involve parents and carers in the life of the school. I hope you will accept that this could be said also for many of the activities described above.
As we move into the second half of the academic year, these many and varied experiences for our children, staff (and parents) continue unabated - the upcoming Trinity Junior Cross Country Chase, the FOTS Family Football Festival, County Cross Country Championships, Stonor-Run, Swimarathon and the Henley Youth Festival - it is worth reminding ourselves, especially in times of difficulty, that there is much for us to celebrate and to be proud off at Trinity and for which we should all be grateful.
In the term in which our school value is Humility, I warmly welcome all parents and carers to come to the second Parents Information Evening on the 29th March and share their views on school life.
